USES OF HAND REFLEXOLOGY - KEY POINTS

Hand reflexology can be used instead of foot reflexology when:

• The foot is injured or there is an infection
• The foot has been amputated
• The client does not want their feet to be touched
• The patient is elderly and cannot lift their foot
• There is not enough time for a foot treatment

As part of the homecare advice clients should be shown how to help themselves with hand reflexology.
