Sharon immigrated to Ontario, Canada from the UK in 2011. Now living and operating in Trenton, Ontario, however many courses are now available through online teaching formats.

My original training began as a Massage Therapist however I wanted to further develop and gain more knowledge of how to treat the human body with more than just massage and this led me to a Degree course in Complementary Therapies & Integrative Medicine.

I graduated from Newcastle College in the UK (Accredited with LEEDS METROPOLITAN UNIVERSITY) with a Degree in Complementary Therapies. The training was very intense and in depth. It required me to research and train in health and wellness practices to treat the person as an individual as opposed to a diseased body. Clinical Trials and Journals were observed and researched to give validation that these therapies are beneficial.

My background is of clinical integrative medicine and degree shows competency at University Degree standard in all therapies of Complementary Healthcare, including Massage Therapy, Reflexology, Aromatherapy, Nutrition, Stress Management, Ayurveda, Personal Development.

I am a Professional Clinical Reflexologists and trained to Level 5 in Clinical Reflexology.

I have developed my skills and teach therapists how to integrate new treatments into their business and working practices. The courses I teach take into account the clients and therapist wellbeing in mind as well as providing amazing treatments for clients individual needs.

I am passionate about holistic and preventative/integrative therapies and love all aspects of my work which comes across in my teaching.

I believe in raising the standards in the industry and making sure these are upheld from training to treatment.

Gua Sha is a technique that translates to "dredging meridian stagnation" and is used to move stagnant blood. It involves using tools made of Rose Quartz or Green Jade Quartz, which have various effects on the skin. Rose Quartz has a firming, lifting, and soothing effect, while Green Jade Quartz helps reduce puffiness and relieve muscle tension.

  • Gua Sha increases circulation and delivers more oxygen and nutrients to the skin, improving overall skin health.
  • Muscle scraping, also known as IASTM (Instrument Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization), uses specialized tools like Grafton or Gua Sha to break up adhesions and scar tissue in the fascia.
  • By breaking down tissue adhesions and scar tissue, muscle scraping promotes increased blood flow, oxygenation, and nutrient exchange, speeding up healing and tissue regeneration.
  • Scraping also helps flush out toxins trapped in tightened muscles and trigger points.
  • Muscle scraping stimulates the body's natural healing response by creating micro trauma within the fascia, triggering an inflammatory response and promoting the production of new collagen and elastin fibers.
  • Gua Sha tools are used in facial massage to relieve muscle tension, boost circulation, encourage lymphatic flow, and promote healthy, clear, and youthful-looking skin. It is sometimes referred to as the "Eastern Facelift".
  • Traditionally, Gua Sha tools have been used in Chinese medicine for massage and scraping on the entire body.
